ENTER MY SILENCE Part Ways With Singer, Announce Replacement
November 19, 2004Finnish melodic death metallers ENTER MY SILENCE have parted ways with singer Mikko Kotamäki. "There's a bunch of reasons that led to this, not least that he will have his hands full with SWALLOW THE SUN next spring and we would've been bound to have problems with schedules etc." the band write on their web site. "We made this last-minute decision in perfect understanding without any dramatics, and wish him and SWALLOW THE SUN all the best in the future.
"Mikko will be replaced by Mika Lisitzin. His voice is very different from Mikko's and we're absolutely thrilled to have him, since he adds a whole new perspective to our music with his more trash/hardcore-style screams! We've already recorded some pre-production demos together, and goddamn... sounds awesome!"
As previously reported, ENTER MY SILENCE will enter Studio Watercastle in Jyväskylä, Finland on November 22 to begin recording their second full-length album. "It'll happen in three separate sessions during the winter, and we expect to have a finished product in our hands by mid-January," the band write. A spring 2005 release via Mighty Music is expected.
ENTER MY SILENCE's debut album, "Remotecontrolled Scythe", was released in 2001 in Europe by Mighty Music and in the U.S. by WW3/Mercenary Musik.
